About Me

My name is Misty Ostrowski, and I am an art teacher.

I was born and raised in Juneau, AK and after graduating from Juneau Douglas High School in 2004, I attended the University of Alaska Southeast, Juneau (UAS).  In 2008 I transferred to Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff (NAU) to pursue my Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Ceramics.  I graduated in May 2010.  I began the Master of Arts in Teaching, Secondary Education program through UAS in June 2010 and Graudated in 2011.  After wards I spent a year teaching ceramics to adults with disabilities for a non-profit organization, followed by art at a public high school.  I am currently teaching middle and high school art at a charter school.

In my spare time when I am not teaching or planning lessons, I enjoy baking, knitting, bike rides, reading, and creating art.
